Community

We have a solid belief ingrained in our corporate culture – that every community is only as strong as its weakest link. Our company embraces the opportunity to be a good corporate citizen through a vigorous and growing community relations program. We’re involved in local organizations and we participate in numerous community activities and initiatives, contributing money and services to a broad variety of local events. Our employees earn good salaries, which enables them to take the corporate giving even further by helping those less fortunate and participating in volunteer efforts throughout their communities. In fact, Perteet was the top employee donor to Snohomish County’s United Way for the last two out of three years.

Perteet employees work hard to make their communities stronger and more vibrant through our project work and through our volunteer activities. The YMCA, Children’s Museum, ArtsUnited and Housing Hope all have Perteet employees serving on their boards of directors. We’ve collectively donated leadership to other organizations including the Red Cross, Leadership Snohomish County, United Way, Rotary, Water for the World and countless neighborhood associations. Our natural impulse, in our work and in our community involvement, is to embrace the concept of “to whom much is given, much is expected.” Far from a chore, it’s an honor!

2011 Day of Caring

For the 2011 United Way Day of Caring, Perteet's Everett office employees visited the YMCA in Everett to paint a playground mural where there was only black asphalt before.  They were especially pleased to receive a booklet of hand-drawn pictures from the kids as a thank you.

Perteet Seattle office employees designed and built an information kiosk for a nonprofit organization called Helping Link that serves Vietnamese immigrants.  Helping Link’s mission is to empower Vietnamese-Americans’ social adjustment, family stability, and self-sufficiency while nurturing community service and youth leaders.  The kiosk will help display the organizations operating hours, classes that they offer, and other events that are of interest to the community.
