Successful candidates must have excellent work ethic, be a self-motivated team player, and present a good fit for our employee-owned culture. Good communication, teamwork skills, and the desire to learn and grow is a must. A drafting certificate from a technical school, or equivalent is preferred. Experience in AutoCAD or MicroStation is required and any experience with Civil 3D or InRoads would be beneficial.

Essential duties and responsibilities of a CAD Technician:

  • Manage shifting priorities and communicate with project managers, designers, and other CAD Technicians.
  • Troubleshoot, research, and problem solve CAD file and software issues.
  • Set up and prepare drawings, exhibits, and engineering plans using Perteet CAD standards or other client standards.
  • Manage AutoCAD or MicroStation drawings including plan sets, XREF’s, layers, title blocks, blocks, and viewport creation.
  • Produce isometric drawings, perspective drawings, details, overlays, base drawings, maps, and illustrations.
  • Modify drawings based on designer’s “redline” markups.
  • Use other digital formats (i.e. Bluebeam, GIS, Adobe Photoshop) to create graphics and CAD drawings.
  • Maintain records of CAD deliverables and supporting files at key project milestones.

Pay Range:  $35.00 to $43.00 depending upon relevant experience.

Perteet is currently searching for Construction Observer/Inspector candidates for exciting statewide opportunities. Candidates with prior experience working on private and public works projects that include the following types of construction are particularly sought:

  • Heavy civil earthwork.
  • Roadway layout including rough and fine grading.
  • Bridge structures.
  • Wet utilities such as storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and water systems.
  • Dry utilities such as electrical ductbank, electrical vaults and handholds, traffic signals, traffic controller cabinets.
  • ADA compliant ramps.

Additional skills for the successful candidate include:

  • Experience with WSDOT and FHWA guidelines for inspection documentation.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently in support of the Environmental Services Team and Perteet project managers with all aspects of client and project team coordination.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume lead and supporting technical role for projects.
  • Report writing, generation of figures, tables, and database management.
  • Complete Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessment.
  • Support Project Managers in preparing scopes of services and fee estimates.
  • Perform Investigations at chemically contaminated properties.
  • Collection of soil and water samples using various sampling techniques.
  • Prepare environmental documentation in support of NEPA, SEPA, and local agency permitting requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in geology or environmental science; 8-10 years directly related professional experience and/or training in environmental assessment/remediation-related work.
  • Completed HAZWOPER 40-hour training, along with an updated 8-hour refresher.
  • Ability to obtain Washington State Site Assessor Certification (UST)
  • Background in statistics and working with statistics software, such as Excel to derive meaningful results from various types of data.
  • Must be self-sufficient, resourceful, and demonstrate exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Expert-level use of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • ARC GIS experience desirable.
