We started with conversations to discover what diversity, equity, and inclusion mean to us.
The next step we took was to focus on internal education which included bringing in experts to help us understand topics like implicit bias and institutional racism. Internally, our co-workers have helped us learn about different issues and holidays important to them like Juneteenth, Lunar New Year, Pride month, and Indigenous People’s Day. During this journey, we have had many open discussion meetings that have shaped our vision plan for action.
These vision plan elements will drive our efforts for DEI at Perteet and make a positive impact to our projects and community. Our DEI committee has worked hard to develop a workplan that focuses on the individual, our firm, and our community.
