Broadband

Broadband communication is transforming how and where people work, live and play. Broadband access helps small communities keep their economies vibrant and large cities manage transportation stress by facilitating remote work opportunities. Perteet’s engineers have experience working with cities, counties, utilities, and communication companies to expand broadband access to communities. The team has designed support poles for the new fifth-generation (5G) cellular antennas in population-dense city environments. They have engineered poles for cell antennas in rural areas. These have included coordination with local electric utilities to minimize the number of poles or structures required by designing structures to support both electrical and communication facilities. The team has also completed routing studies for fiber optic cables and structural analysis to install the fiber on new and existing poles. Perteet’s team also has experience designing conduit systems necessary for fiber and other cables to be installed underground.
