Muckleshoot Housing Projects

Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, WA

Since 2018, Perteet’s cultural resources group has been providing archaeological services to the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe to support compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and further the goals of the Tribe’s Preservation Committee. The Tribe is working to develop new housing for its members and improve Tribal infrastructure. Perteet’s cultural resources group works closely with the Tribe’s archaeologist to identify cultural resources that will be affected by projects and find ways for the Tribe to pursue development while protecting its heritage resources.
